We Are "Tripeiros" Passionate About Sharing Our Homeland
In Portugal, true hospitality is not a service; it is a sacred cultural tradition. Tour Portugal was born from a desire to show travelers the authentic soul of Northern Portugal through unscripted encounters, family-owned quintas, and genuine friendships.
Rejecting the Mass-Tourism Bus Model
Years ago, we watched in dismay as 50-person tour buses pulled up to quiet Douro quintas, herding tourists in fifteen-minute intervals with megaphone commentaries. We knew there was a vastly better way to travel.
We launched Tour Portugal with a strict pledge: small groups capped at 8 travelers (or 12 on walking routes), dedicated luxury Mercedes-Benz transport, authentic multi-course meals prepared by local home chefs, and exclusive partnerships with small, generational vineyards who welcome our guests like relatives.

Our Commitment to Sustainable Northern Portugal
Northern Portugal is an ancient tapestry of natural landscapes and living communities. We are dedicated to ensuring that tourism enriches rather than displaces:
Family-Owned Quintas Only
We partner exclusively with independent, family-run estates where tasting fees directly fund regenerative agriculture.
Zero Plastic Waste
We provide glass and reusable stainless vessels onboard, eliminating single-use plastic bottles from our excursions.
Small Footprint in Alleys
Our small groups respect the tranquility of residential neighborhoods like Miragaia and Barredo.
